In 1956, Álvaro Vilaplana Rius began a path in ophthalmology that would lead him, after years of study and work, to be appointed professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, among other merits. With a passion for the study and knowledge of eye pathologies, the center has maintained very high scientific, technical and human levels to offer all its patients exceptional treatment and the best quality care.
From 2001, a new stage began with Dr. Daniel Vilaplana in charge. This stage involved a complete renovation of the center’s facilities and equipment, incorporating the most advanced technologies to ensure an excellent medical service and a comfortable environment for our patients. Thanks to this continuous evolution, the center remains at the forefront of innovations in ophthalmology, standing out for its commitment to eye health and patient well-being.
