The scientific vocation, skill and taste for teaching of Dr. Daniel Vilaplana are qualities that do not usually occur in a single person. This extraordinary distinction recognizes his long and fruitful scientific, medical and surgical career, but even more his work as a teacher and trainer of many, many ophthalmologists from Catalonia, Spain and everywhere, residents who were going to train at the Barraquer Ophthalmology Center and at Parc Salut Mar, and that has led him to have students who love him scattered all over the world.
